Inspired by Nature. Passionate about Resiliency. Driven by Connection.

Well hello there, Lovelies.

I'm Kael, a Nationally Board-certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) accredited through the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME). I love blending my massage practice of nearly 20 years with health coaching to support quality of life for those who have led complicated lives, especially those who have had a sprinkling of confusing, chaotic, or downright annoying health conditions.

You might think I have always been someone who has been deeply interested in health, but that wasn't the case. It wasn't until I was diagnosed with a thyroid condition called Grave's Disease (an autoimmune disease) at the age of 14 when I really considered my own health to be important. Extremely rare at that age, the disease came on swift and strong, rapidly deteriorating my health between January and February of 2001. It ultimately resulted in a double dose of radiation therapy to kill off my toxic organ; from that point on, life shifted into a spiral of difficulty.

Depression, eating disorders, car accidents, falls resulting in broken bones (including one from a second story window), surgeries, paralysis episodes, head injuries, indeterminable illnesses, family tragedies, and significant personal traumas all swooped into my existence. It felt like my life was a series of heartache that I could never get a handle on: "Am I destined to keep going through all this?"

It seemed that lemons were bestowed upon me -- and not just regular lemons, but lemons that were wrapped in barbed wire, set on fire, and slung from a medieval trebuchet. Over the years, however, I was determined to make lemonade out of them. The path to make lemonade has not been easy, but it's been worth it.

It's been a dizzying, painful, bumpy road to get to where I am, and I've tripped and fallen (figuratively and literally) a lot throughout the years while seeking changes in my life. I've made it through thanks to the immense healing powers of nature and community, with a special thanks to humor, creative problem solving, and doing a lot of personal detective work on what my body, mind, heart, soul, and environment needed. During this time, I also assembled an outstanding support system, without whom I would not be alive today (forever thank you).

In my own hardships, I have found my purpose to help others become empowered in their life so they don't feel trapped in a cyclone of trauma and dis-ease (and the crippling, life-sucking vortex those conditions often generate).

I promise you here and now, you don't have to figure it all out on your own. And -- bonus! -- there is even room for play, joy, humor, rest, creativity, and fun that can fill you up and encourage your body's natural healing process!

Everyone has their own story they're trying to make sense of: their own trials, tribulations, and triumphs. It is my absolute honor to walk alongside those with complicated, messy health histories as they reclaim their life -- and their power -- from whatever gets thrown at them.

Are you feeling the itch to come out of survival mode and create a life you can feel at ease in? Let's chat!
